About the Author

Dr. Neil Todreas is professor emeritus at MIT. He has extensive nuclear power experience, having led an industry review group on the Three Mile Island situation from 1983-1988 and served on the NRC's Reactor Safety Research Committee. In addition to his part-time teaching and research, Dr. Todreas continues to be a leading consultant to industry and government. He is a Fellow at the ASME and a member of the national academy of engineering.

Dr. Mujid Kazimi is a professor and former head of the Department of Nuclear Engineering at MIT. He also has extensive nuclear power experience, having served on the Board of Managers of the Idaho National Energy Laboratory. He is also a Fellow at the American Nuclear Society and the AAAS, and a member of the AIChE, ASME and ASEE. Dr. Kazimi has been involved with several nuclear safety studies throughout his career, covering reactor systems, as well as their fuel cycles.

The high-profile case involved a famous bodybuilder, turned reality-television- star, caught in a possible love triangle that ended in an overdose and a drug-fueled cover-up. Without any physical evidence to prove that a murder had actually taken place, and before the final autopsy and toxicology reports were released, the overzealous prosecutor leaked inaccurate information to the media. Swift Injustice fills in the blanks by providing details about the tragic events that unfolded in December of 2005 to the plea deal and sentence for Second Degree Murder in 2008. In the end, the prosecutor built his political campaign around the case, and the judge walked away with a court television show. The Judge's television show was called Swift Justice. Unfortunately for Craig Titus, justice was neither swift nor just; it was Swift Injustice.

I have been waiting for the release of this book ...

I have been waiting for the release of this book since it was first announced. I assumed there was more to the death of Melissa James than the public reports had revealed. When the book finally arrived I started reading it immediately. I struggled to continue reading the book after the 67 page introduction where the author strongly criticized the police and prosecutors bias without acknowledging her own. I forced myself to complete 5 chapters (I did not finish the book) but could no longer continue to read the repetitive, excessively detail-driven, Pro-Titus content.

was definitely not a disappointment. Made for great reading

A must read for those who want to read an unbiased opinion and actual facts of the unfortunate events of that day. I had been waiting for this book to come out and when it did, was definitely not a disappointment. Made for great reading. The author's detail of accounts and facts from her research left me not wanting to put the book down! The title is unquestionably fitting.

I cant put it down. This book states the facts. It does not appear to be one sided. Everything is backed up by public records and court documentation. This author exposes the crooked judicial system and does not sugar coat anything in Craig Titus's life. Its a must read and a real eye opener. I can not believe what the justice system gets away with.
