An excellent study guide for Redhat 7 Administrator and Engineer certification exams.

Summary : I own Jang RHEL6 and Ghori RHEL7 (Jang RHEL7 is not yet released at the time of this review. I plan to buy it before taking the RHCE test and to refer to the PDFs afterward). I find Jang6 better on intangibles (paper quality, diagram readability, fonts/headers, greyscale text) and on tangibles (exam readiness checklists, index, PDF copies, an extra bit of technical detail). Ghori seems perhaps to have a better grouping of information, which may lead to better information recall since similar information was learned at the same time.
Here's a quick random comparison of the two on /tmp and tmpfs. Jang6 says 'tmpfs is a virtual memory filesystem using both RAM and swap.... (in a different section) /tmp files are deleted periodically by default'. Ghori says '/tmp is virtual; used by running programs and program installers, files are deleted at reboot'. Both have good info. Jang seems more complete, but Ghori has all that you'd need for to past the tests including (as both do) practice tests.
Another reviewer writes: "the lack of PDF is a bit of a drag."
To me, this is a huge difference. Jang manages to publish PDFs and remain highly profitable / the industry standard. The searchabilty of an electronic copy is infinitely useful when you're using a non-sequential reference book, especially when Ghori sports such a thin index (9 pgs of indexes to 700 pages of material). And a PDF is more universally available - I can keep a copy on my tablet for reference anytime, anywhere.
If you can only buy one book, I would speculate that the extra time it is taking to prepare Jang's book is a sign of extra work that goes into preparing it. Of course, I'm comparing an existing product with one that does not yet exist, so who knows? Also, having read about half of Jang6, I found a dozen or so passages that were incomprehensible or in my opinion, wrong. I have only spent a small bit of the time on Ghori, but so far I have not had any similar difficulties. Also I was very impressed by the reviewer who emailed Mr Ghori and received a very prompt answer - that level of commitment was the biggest reason for me to buy his book rather than waiting. Lastly, certainly most importantly - *both books are very good : if you know 90% of either book, you'll pass*. The Ghori book is available now, I don't know when the Jang7 book will release, and it will almost certainly be more expensive when it does.

I passed the exam because of this book AND it's a great work reference

This is a great book and a terrific reference. Other than job experience, I used nothing but this book to prep for the first of the two exams, and I passed. The information, exercises, and sample tests are everything you need to pass the test. Learn them inside out and backward, and you'll pass.
Not only is this great for passing the test, but Mr. Ghori explains things beautifully clearly and concisely. There were a variety of concepts that I sort of knew beforehand that after reading this book are crystal clear. I also had the previous version of this book, for RHEL5, and found that if I needed really good details on how to do something, I was more likely to find them in this book than anywhere else. I love knowing the details of how things work, and this book provides them.

Good for exam prep. Responsive author!

I have been studying this book and find it to be concise. I will definitely be using it to prep for my exam. The author is super responsive if you have any questions regarding the subject material. I was questioning one of the emergency boot methods and sent him an email concerning it and within minutes I got a reply back! With a nice screen shot showing that it worked! The method did not work for me but it was close enough for me to figure out what was happening that was different in my system. I have found that tech manuals are not always perfect and this book is no exception but it is well written and has plenty of pertinent info and a very responsive author. Your mileage may vary as tech books are sometimes highly subjective but for me I can honestly say I'm definitely learning by using it and I recommend it.
