We're All Mad Here!
By Talvi
Chapter 7 represents an interesting turning point in the story as Warden Makina decides to go full on after Promoter 'fox' Tamaki. Presenting an interesting reverse in fortune from volume 6, Ganta is going to slowly regain the friends that he lost after his frightful Ganta Gun blast.
Story: A destitute Ganta searches for Azami and is captured by Promoter Tamaki in the process. Tamaki makes a Faustian offer - undergo Ninben experimentation in order to get enough power to destroy the Red Man. Meanwhile, Shiro has to believe in Ganta and reminds the former Deadmen exactly what Ganta has done for them. When they refuse to help, she takes Azami and they go after Ganta. Meanwhile, Warden Makina calls upon old friends from the military to begin a siege that takes the prison away from Promoter Tamaki's influence. The stage is set for a battle of epic proportions, Makina's prison officers and comrades against Tamaki's Ninben..
We've had a lot of different abilities explored so far, first by the deadmen and then by the ninben. It is going to be interesting to see what talents Makina's crew is going to bring to the table. Already, at the end of this volume, we get to meet a new breed of even crazier ninben.
As expected, Shiro will misunderstand Ganta's motivations and assume he's just being her friend. We learn more about the Wretched Egg from Tamaki - including the startling developments that Ganta is likely closely related to the person/thing he hates most - The Red Man. Home may be closer to the Wonderland prison than he thinks.
Pretty much every character in the book is insane except for Ganta. The "We're All mad here" statement from the Cheshire cat Alice in Wonderland really does sum up the Wonderland Prison of Deadman Wonderland.

Killer volume
By Amazon Customer
This volume is action packed. Ganta leaves shiro to go save Azami who has turned into a Ninben. With all of the deadman labeling ganta a traitor and without shiro he is left to survive or get killed. The chief warden calls her military friends to join scar chains ultimate goal to declares war on tamaki any means necessary. Can't wait for the next volume. A clear must buy

Good
By Jude
~4/5
Oddly enough, the theme for this volume seemed to be Friendship.
Ganta has pushed away his last friend so they don’t have to suffer, while his others turn on him. Then, for some reason, he’s grown very close to Azami, who’s being forced into the ninben mask and killing people. I don’t really see the friendship they have, but I guess they feel it. I do find Azami interesting, though. Her backstory is very interesting, and I do like her as a character.
Shiro is the real hero here, as far as I’m concerned. While I’m still worried about what's hiding inside her, that she doesn’t even know about it, she’s stand out as a person and a friend. All the worries and problems other people have, they just don’t touch her. She only cares about her friends, a.k.a. Ganta. She’s the real reason he gets out of anything okay, including with his friends.
There’s another cliffhanger here, of course. It introduces some possibly interesting characters, but with the main cast in a very bad place. I’m intrigued. But I’m mostly just enjoying the horrors and odd heartfelt moments of this series.
I’m looking forward to the next one.
